Gosai Law is proud to announce that Nancy Sarmento Barkhordari has been elevated to Partner, effective immediately. This milestone marks a transformative moment for our firm and represents the culmination of nearly two decades of exceptional collaboration and achievement.
Since 2008, Nancy and founding partner Nital Gosai have worked side by side, building one of Ontario’s most formidable civil litigation and Crown liability practices. Nancy’s litigation prowess is evidenced by notable appearances before the Court of Appeal for Ontario in cases such as Johnson v. Ontario, 2021 ONCA 443, Johnson v. Ontario, 2021 ONCA 650, Johnson v. Ontario, 2022 ONCA 162, Johnson v. Ontario, 2022 ONCA 725 and before the Ontario Superior Court in Reddock v. Canada (Attorney General), 2021 ONSC 6013 and Heath v. Attorney General, 2023 ONSC 5168.
Beyond her casework, Nancy’s leadership extends throughout the legal community. Nancy serves on the Ontario Bar Association (OBA) Council and has served on the OBA board of directors (2024/2025). Currently, Nancy also serves as Past Chair of the OBA Young Lawyer’s Division, where she has also served as Chair (2024/2025) and CPD Liaison (prior years). Nancy also sits on the Interventions Committee of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. Nancy’s academic publications and current doctoral research demonstrate her commitment to advancing legal thought.
This partnership solidifies an already dominant force in civil litigation. As Gosai Law enters 2026, clients and colleagues alike can expect continued excellence from this unbeatable team.
